Project Brief

NIDA-Pakistan with the support of Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is implementing “Transitional Development Assistance (TDA) project in flood affected UCs of Tehsil Bankad Ranolia District Kohistan Lower.
The project aims at “The resilience of the affected households to the effects of the flood has been strengthened.”. This project was designed after rapid needs assessment of the project areas augmented with facts & figures of the natural disaster.

The proposed activities under this component are CBOs Capacity building on First Aid and Disaster Risk Reduction Measures (DRR) are planned to be organized in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Kohistan Lower and PRCS Kohistan Branch to equip community members to acquire knowledge/Skills and rehabilitation of Community Physical Infrastructure schemes under Cash for work (CFW). In addition Nutrition awanress sessions, Demonstration plots of Food diversified gardening, Staple crop and Fodder production are also part of TDA Project.
