Hospital Management Through Public Private Partnership (PPP with Govt KP)

NIDA-Pakistan as Lead Consortium partner with Sehat Hospital Group (SHG) and Liaison Corporation (LC) is Implementing over all mangement of the hospital for a period of three years. The Core Function of the project provision of Clinical and allied services to the population of FR DI Khan KPK as per Minimum Heath Service Delivery Package (MHSDP) Government of KPK. NIDA-Pakistan and Partners will ensure 24/7 all emergency, medical and surgical services include Gynecology & Obstruction, General Medicine, General Surgery and Pediatrics include diagnostic services at Darazinda Hospital FR DI Khan. Hospital will also provide services to COVID-19 patients through established Quarantine canters and isolation wards. Project will also manage hospital waste through provision of incinerators and infection control through personal portative equipment.

Safeguarding Cultural Heritage

The Project is managed by NIDA-Pakistan in partnership with THAAP and Institute of Art and Culture University Lahore Pakistan. The Project aims at enhancing the role of communities and youth in protection of the rich heritage of Pakistan complementing the efforts of the government. The project is based on one of the strategic objectives of the world heritage convention, which asks for enhancing the role of the communities in heritage protection. The Project will be improved teacher education and training institutions in the selected areas of KPK including Swat, Mardan and Peshawar districts to integrate in to teaching and learning. The project is convinced by UNESCO Islamabad and funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

Main Streaming Out of Primary School Children in Kohistan

The purpose of the project is to support the government of KP efforts to enroll out of school primary school girls and boys, increasing access and improving the quality of boys’ and girls’ education (at primary level) through capacity building and targeted interventions at both institutional and community level. The project has following objectives: a. Increase girls’ enrolment in the primary schools in marginalized communities through mobilization of local communities. b. Improve retention and quality of girls’ primary education in the marginalized communities through improvement in school learning environment. c. Improve the capacity of relevant provincial and district education officials to create an enabling school environment for girl’s education. The Programme is being implemented in three districts of Kohistan 26 UCs and 206 boys’ and girls’ primary schools through interventions in consultation with respective provincial/ area governments, local communities, civil society organizations and other local development partners.
